County, city working on a holiday schedule

 


Allegheny County offices will have revised schedules due to the holiday observances.

On Friday, Dec. 30, the Court of Common Pleas, the District Attorney’s office, and the Department of Court Records will be closed in observance of New Year’s Eve, a court holiday. The Marriage License/Passport office, however, will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

All county offices will be closed on Monday, Jan. 2, 2017 in observance of New Year’s Day.

All offices will return to regular business hours on Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2017.

The City of Pittsburgh Department of Public Works advises there will not be any refuse, bulk waste or recycling collection on Monday, Jan. 2, 2017 in observance of New Year’s Day.

City of Pittsburgh offices will also be closed on Jan. 2. 

The New Year’s week schedule will proceed as follows:

If the regular scheduled day of collection is Monday, Jan. 2, the address will be serviced on Tuesday, Jan. 3. If the collection day is Tuesday, Jan. 3, it will be serviced on Wednesday, Jan. 4, and so on through Saturday, Jan. 7.

Citiparks’ 10 community recreation centers and 14 Healthy Active Living senior centers will operate under a holiday schedule of 9 a.m. - 7 p.m. from Dec. 27 - 30.
