City launches online transparency portal to easily access information

The City of Pittsburgh’s Department of Innovation and Performance has announced the launch of the transparency portal, an easily navigable web page with critical information for city residents.

“Rather than searching through numerous webpages to find information, users now have access to up-to-date city information at their fingertips. The transparency portal is another step toward creating a more accountable, transparent, and tech-savvy City government,” said Councilman Dan Gilman.

“This portal is a part of our greater efforts around user-centric design and thinking. We want to make engaging with local government easier, friendly, and more accessible,” said Chief Innovation and Performance Officer Debra Lam.

The transparency portal contains meeting schedules, contact information, financial statements, taxes, fees, Requests for Proposals, contracts, online facility rentals, and other information. It can be accessed by visiting http://pittsburghpa.gov/innovation-performance/public-portal.
