Bee Wise program Downtown June 8

The Penn State Extension Allegheny County and the Allegheny County Master Gardeners’ “Bee Wise: Plant Natives” program will, once again, be offered for free at the Allegheny County Courthouse.

The free program will be held on Wednesday, June 8, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Allegheny County Courthouse Courtyard.

The courtyard, with entrances on Fifth and Forbes Avenues, features a demonstration rain garden which is planted and maintained by a dedicated group of master gardeners. They will be on hand to answer questions on native plans, pollinators and rain gardens.

No registration is required, but attendees are encouraged to stop by early as there will be a limited number of free plants distributed and Penn State Creamery ice cream will also be distributed until it runs out.
