N3D will feature a block party and a Hilltop Bake Off with Rick Sebak

Next 3 Days is coming to Allentown and Mt. Washington as a three-day showcase of emerging neighborhoods and to promote affordable housing in the neighborhoods.

The program will highlight neighborhood culture, businesses and amenities.

N3D will kick off on Friday, June 17 with a block party with musical guests such as Beauty Slap from 6-9:30 p.m. at Industry on Industry on Manton Way in Allentown.

Saturday, June 18 will feature a family-friendly festival at Grandview Park from noon to 4 p.m. Festival organizers are looking for face painters, henna artists, balloons artists and more.

As part of the festival in Grandview Park, there will be a Hilltop Community Bake Off. Those who think their cakes and bakes can persuade and influence the sweet tooth of celebrity judges are welcome to sign up for the Next 3 Days Hilltop Bake Off by calling 412-288-0584, emailing n3dbakeoff@gmail.com, or just by bringing 12 pieces of their dish to the Bake Off Registration Tent in Grandview Park at noon on Saturday, June 18.

Bake off judges will include Rick Sebak and City of Pittsburgh Council President Bruce Kraus.

A Home Buyer Workshop and tour will take place on Sunday, June 19 at 11 a.m. at a site to be determined.

N3D is an initiative by The Mayor’s Office, the URA, and NEXTPittsburgh whose purpose is to showcase emerging neighborhoods in Pittsburgh and promote affordable housing.
