Brashear hosts Remake Learning event at the Allentown Learning and Engagement Center

Over the past ten years, the greater Pittsburgh region has created a national model for learning innovation known as the Remake Learning Network.

National leaders will converge in Pittsburgh May 9-15 for Remake Learning Days, a week-long celebration of the region’s ascendancy as a center of future-facing learning.

Local organizations like The Brashear Association will celebrate with events for families, kids and teachers.

Remake Learning Days will take place at Brashear’s Allentown Learning and Engagement Center (ALEC) Open House.

Families are welcome to stop by and check out what ALEC students have been learning this past school year in STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, and math), learning, healthy eating and play. The event is free and open to the public.

The Brashear Association will host the open house from 4-6 p.m. at ALEC, 827 E. Warrington, Pittsburgh PA 15210.

There are more than 270 Remake Learning Days events happening between May 9 and 15. Go to http://remakelearningdays.org/ for a complete list of events taking place during Remake Learning Days.

Remake Learning Days is supported by the Grable, Pittsburgh, Benedum, Hillman and Buhl Foundations, Chevron, the Carnegie Corporation of New York, Pirates Charities, the Pittsburgh Penguins Foundation, Google Pittsburgh, UPMC Enterprises, and UPMC Health Plan.
