St. John Bosco girls win Section, Diocesan Championship

The St. John Bosco Academy Varsity basketball girls team has made history for the 2015-2016 basketball season.

The girls, coached by Ian Barrett and Mark Bernotas, were undefeated and won the Section and Diocesan Championship in the B Division. This is the first Diocesan Championship won by the varsity girls basketball team, however most of these girls have played together for years and have been undefeated and won the Section and Diocesan Championship as a JV team the past two years.

This is the first Varsity Girls Basketball Diocesan Championship in the history of the school, starting with St. Pius, Brookline Regional Catholic, and now St. John Bosco Academy. The win ended with a 9-0 run in the last two minutes, allowing SJBA to win by 3.
