Carrick wrestlers earn city championship with win

 


Carrick High’s Wrestling team is the City Wrestling Champions by defeating Brashear’s Wrestling Team 51-10 at Carrick High School on January 29.

Individual city high school matches will be held at Carrick High on February 20 at 6 p.m.

The results of the matches by weight class are:

106 – Joe Dang (Carrick) over Jamar Kerny (Brashear) by technical fall 20 – 2.

113 – Dylan Emma (Carrick) over Delanie Link Brashear) by decision 13 – 6.

120 – Cory Bevan (Brashear) over Matt O’Connor (Carrick) by decision 12 – 7.

126 – Dom Emma (Carrick) over Joe Mwete (Brashear) by decision 4 – 3.

132 – AJ Jackson (Carrick) by forfeit.

138 – Juan Rodriguez (Carrick) over Leon Blair (Brashear) by fall.

145 – Dalton Link (Brashear) over Cody Kirk (Carrick) by decision 5 – 3.

152 – Jordan Oliver (Brashear) over Justice Jones (Carrick) by major decision 12 – 4.

160 – Cory Dees (Carrick) over James Wagner (Brashear) by fall.

170 – L J Orbovich (Carrick) over Quason Jones (Brashear) by decision 11 – 10.

182 – Kenny Murphy (Carrick) over Shane Edwards (Brashear) by major decision 12 -1.

195 – Dale Davis (Carrick) over Jesus Flores (Brashear) by fall.
