Carrick store owner arrested for selling synthetic marijuana

 


After a three-year investigation involving State Police, Zone 3 Officers arrested a Carrick store owner on Thursday, June 29, in connection with a synthetic marijuana operation.

A search warrant served at approximately 10:22 a.m. on Zach’s Market on Brownsville Road in Carrick included the store owner’s Beechview home. Items confiscated included 50,000 pieces of drug paraphernalia, 30 pounds of synthetic marijuana, 300 packets of the drug that were ready for sale, and one firearm.

The store owner, Ali Zoror, 51, of Middle Eastern descent, was taken to Allegheny County Jail facing a variety of drug-related charges.
