Comment on Health Dept. restaurant grading plan
The Allegheny County Board of Health is seeking public comments on a proposed restaurant grading plan and revisions to the Health Department’s food safety regulations. The comment period runs for 30 days, ending June 12.
The restaurant grading plan and revised regulations are posted on the Health Department’s web site, http://www.achd.net, and also available for public review Monday through Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m ., at the Health Department’s Food Safety Division, Clack Health Center, Building 1, 40th Street and Penn Avenue, Lawrenceville.

In addition, a public hearing will be held on Tuesday, June 10, from 6 to 8 p.m ., at the Clack Health Center, Building 7, First Floor Conference Room, 301 39th Street, Lawrenceville.
Testimony at the public hearing must be scheduled in advance, by calling 412-578-8044, no later than 4 p.m. on Monday, June 9. Speakers are limited to five minutes and will be asked to submit a written copy of their testimony at the hearing.
After completion of the 30-day public comment period, the Board of Health will consider all comments before finalizing the restaurant grading plan and revised regulations.
