Volunteers pitch in to clean up, mulch Carrick garden

Four Carrick Community Council (CCC) Beautification Committee members helped spread fresh mulch at the Lamar Site along Brownsville Road last Saturday morning.

The new mulch was provided by Lamar Advertising Company. The CCC is always looking for more people to help and join the Beautification Committee with the Carrick gardens which also include Pittsburgh Concord K-5, the Mothers’ Statue at Overbrook Boulevard and the Veterans Memorial at Parkfield Street. If interested email the CCC at carrickcommunitycouncil@gmail.com or call 412-339-0808.

Visit carrickpa.com to join the CCC. The $5 membership fee helps to support neighborhood projects and includes a CCC membership and allows members to use their card to obtain free admission for up to three people to the Heinz History Center, Meadowcroft and the Fort Pitt Museum throughout the year.
