St. John Vianney Holy Week services

 


Holy Week and Easter services will be held at St. John Vianney Church, on Allen Street in Allentown. All Masses and services are in the church, except where noted.

On Tuesday, April 15 and Wednesday, April 16 There will be Mass in the chapel. Confession will be from 7-8 p.m. in the church. There will be no scheduled confessions after Wednesday evening. Adoration and Benediction will take place from 9-10:30 a.m. in the chapel on Wednesday also.

Mass of the Lord’s Supper will take place on Thursday, April 17 at 6:30 p.m. Blessed Sacrament will be reserved for adoration until 11 p.m. when the church closes. There will be no morning mass.

The church will open at 10 a.m. on Friday of the Passion of the Lord. Stations will take place at noon and 6:30 p.m. Liturgical Service with Holy Communion is at 1:45 p.m. The church will close after the 6:30 p.m. evening stations.

On Holy Saturday, decorating the church is at 7 a.m .; the church opens at 11:30 a.m .; a Blessing of Easter food is at noon; and Easter Vigil in the Holy Night is at 8:30 p.m.

Easter Sunday Masses will be at 9 a.m. and noon.
