Chamber will pick up TVs for seniors

Over the weekend, the South Side Chamber of Commerce sponsored a South Side orphaned television round up, picking up 15 of the abandoned TVs in the neighborhood.

Chamber volunteers went through the neighborhood collecting the televisions that have been put out for curbside trash over the last several months, but were not picked up. They became abandoned once trash collectors were no longer permitted to take the sets.

Jonathan Growall from the SSCC said they are still able to take a limited number of old televisions to be recycled and would like to offer the service to South Side senior citizens.

South Side seniors who have a television they would like taken and recycled should call Brian at 619-944-2960 or jamesbrianklein@gmail.com to arrange for a pick up.

All the televisions the chamber picked up will be recycled courtesy of Evolution E-Cycling on South Side.
