Folk tales from Afar at the Knoxville Library on Wed.

The Knoxville Library is celebrating cultural diversity with a program called “Folktales from Afar” on Wednesday, March 26 from 5 – 6 p.m.

This hour-long program will feature cultural experiences and stories from Bhutan and Nepal. The Hilltop has become the new home for many people who came to Pittsburgh from these countries, so this program aims to make them feel welcome and also to enlighten others in the neighborhood with a sampling of their culture.

Everyone is welcome to join in for stories, snacks and a take-home craft activity. Greet their neighbors and have some fun!

All programs are free and open to the public. Learn more about our programs and activities by visiting the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh-Knoxville, 400 Brownsville Road, Pittsburgh 15210, or calling 412-381-6543.

Information is also available on their webpage: http://www.carnegielibrary.org/locations/knoxville and on Facebook (search for Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh – Knoxville). The library’s email address is knoxville@carnegielibrary.org .
