Successful nominees will be installed at a luncheon on Sunday, May 25 at the South Hills Country Club.
The criteria for a former Carrick High athlete to be nominated includes: Captain or co-captain of a Carrick High team; a person who has been named “most valuable” for their sports performances at Carrick High; a person who has been named to an All City Team in any sport; a person who has set a record at the time of his participation in Carrick High sports; or a person who was a valuable member of a Carrick High championship team.
There are a number of Carrick High graduates who became exceptional athletes in college. They, too, may be nominated.
A nomination does not mean the nominee automatically becomes a member of the CHS Alumni Sports Hall of Fame. Their sports performance as a CHS athlete could also be determined by statements by their coaches, newspaper clippings or statements by team members.
Nominations may be made by Friday, March 28 and should be sent to: Paul Harrison, CHS Alumni Assn., 1057 Waldwick Drive, Pittsburgh PA 15237 or by e-mail to Carrickalm@aol.com.
