The 51 Carrick will have its schedule changed as one of nearly 30 bus routes the Port Authority will adjust effective Sunday, March 16.
Trip frequency on the 51 Carrick on weekdays between 7:20 a.m. and 8 a.m. will be increased from every 10 minutes to every eight minutes, adding one trip.
Adjustments are based on data, such as passenger counts by stop and time, as well as feedback from operators and riders. Port Authority intends to make further system improvements later this year as additional operating funding goes into effect.
Information on the adjustments, including links to new schedules, is now posted online at PortAuthority.org. New paper schedules will be distributed at schedule racks prior to the changes.
Port Authority of Allegheny County routinely adjusts schedules four times per year.
