It’s the perfect time to compost indoors with red wiggler worms and PRC’s Vermicomposting Workshop will teach everything needed to know to create a rich, organic fertilizer from kitchen scraps.
Participants will build worm boxes, receive their own red wigglers, and return home ready to start vermicomposting. Learn how to turn kitchen scraps into beautiful, rich compost fertilizer - just in time for spring planting.
Upcoming workshops are scheduled for: Thursday, Feb. 13 at Phipps Garden Center from 7– 8:30 p.m. and Thursday, March 20 at the CCI Center on South Side from 6:30 – 8 p.m.
Learn why it’s important to compost, what to add and not to add to a worm box, how to maintain the worm box, and how to use the finished compost.
Participants will receive a functioning vermicompost (worm) box to take home with them.
Cost is $50 per person or $55 per couple. Registration and pre-payment are required.
