S. Side Community Council plans public safety meeting
The South Side Community Council is planning its “Second in a Series” public safety meetings on Thursday, Jan. 30 at a site to be determined.
The topic for this session is the saturation of liquor licenses on South Side and its effect on South Side residents.
State Representatives Harry Readshaw and Jake Wheatley, along with Senators Wayne Fontana and Jay Costa, have been invited to attend. Councilman Bruce Kraus will present data related to the topic and the legislators will have an opportunity to share what they have done at the state level to address the issue.
Residents who are interested may share their concerns but will be limited to two minutes each. It is suggested they bring something in writing to be given to the legislators.
The site for the meeting is still under consideration and will be confirmed by next week. The time, however, is 6:30 - 8:30 p.m.
