Fundraiser benefits Ladies AOH

The Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians Division 11 (LAOH) will hold a Christmas Story themed party to raise funds for their charitable efforts of the The Jaggerbush on South Side on Saturday, Dec. 7 from 11a.m. – 2 p.m.

During the winter months, the LAOH sponsor several meals for the homeless at a shelter downtown; adopt a family at Christmas(this year their family has seven children), and participate in multiple efforts for the elderly religious who do not have funds for medical care or services.

A portion of all sales during this time will be given to the division.

This event is in conjunction with The Christmas Story race happening in Cleveland on the same day. Many of the group and several members of the Leukemia Lymphoma Society’s Team in Training are planning to run the race virtually here in Pittsburgh. They are then heading to The Jaggerbush to have homemade cookies, trivia, contests and other surprises to assist in their winter causes.

The link to the race information where people can still sign up directly from their website to be virtual participants is http://www.achristmasstoryhouse.com/index.php/5k10k-run/. The website for the local LAOH division is http://laohdiv11.org/.
