Emmaus will benefit from fundraiser

The North Pittsburgh Network is inviting local families to join them at Generoasta Coffee in Warrendale on December 1 from 2 – 5 p.m. for “Making Spirits Bright,” a free holiday event to benefit the Emmaus Community of Pittsburgh.

The event will feature activities for families and children, including photos with Santa, a magic show by an Emmaus resident, gingerbread house- and ornament-making, free t-shirts for children, raffles and beverage from Generoasta, and more.

North Pittsburgh Network is an organization of professionals in the North Hills dedicated to growing businesses and giving back to the community. All proceeds from “Making Spirits Bright” will benefit the Emmaus Community of Pittsburgh, a local, South Side-based non-profit organization that provides permanent homes and services to people with intellectual disabilities and autism.

“We’re very excited about this event,” says Emmaus Executive Director Karen Jacobsen, “and the opportunity to spread the word about Emmaus in the North Hills. We’re grateful to the North Pittsburgh Network for supporting Emmaus—and we know it’s going to be a lot of fun for everyone involved!”
