Veterans Remembrance Day at Carrick High

Carrick High School and the Carrick High Alumni Association will honor all former students who have served or are now serving in the U.S. military on Friday, Nov. 8 in a Veterans Day of Remembrance.

The observance will take place outside at the Carrick High Alumni Veterans Wall on the Parkfield Street side of the high school at 9 a.m. An estimated 3,570 former CHS students have served in the military. In case of inclement weather the ceremony will be held in the Blue Gym which is just steps inside the school from the Veterans Wall.

The 65 former students who lost their lives during World War II, Korea, Vietnam, the Gulf War, Iraq and Afghanistan will be remembered when their names are read during the ceremony. Carrick High students and veteran’s relatives will participate in the readings.

All veterans and their relatives are welcome to attend.
