Starting Tuesday, Oct. 15, the Allegheny County Health Department will resume routine tuberculosis screenings.
The screenings were suspended in March due to a shortage of the solution used to administer the TB skin test, but the supply has now increased and returned to normal.
Routine tuberculosis screenings, needed for such purposes as employment and school, will be provided only on Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays, from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., at the Health Department’s TB clinic, located at the Clack Health Center, Building 1, 3901 Penn Avenue, Lawrenceville.
No appointment is necessary. The fee is $25 for one-step testing and $35 for two-step testing.
