CLP-Knoxville previews tv show

A new WQED television series, Peg + Cat, will be previewed for children ages 2-5 with an adult on Thursday, Oct. 3 at 2:30 p.m. at the Knoxville Library.

This series “inspires preschool children to see math as exciting, accessible, and fun,” according to the show’s producers. The show will premiere on WQED on October 7, so by coming to the library it’s possible to be among the first to experience this fun new way to learn about measurement, shapes and patterns. Light refreshments will be served and, like all library programs, is free to the public.

Story time for toddlers and preschoolers resumes on Thursday, Oct. 3, at 1:30 p.m. They’ll be sharing age-appropriate books, rhymes, songs and activities designed to engage children’s interest in reading. This interactive half-hour program is planned for children ages 2-5 with an adult caregiver, but all are welcome. Feel free to stay for the screening of Peg + Cat on October 3 as well.
