ACDC to celebrate Warrington completion

The Allentown Community Development Corp. is planning to celebrate the completion of the Warrington Avenue reconstruction project.

The celebration is slated for the Allentown Senior Center, 631 E. Warrington Avenue, for Tuesday, Sept. 24, beginning at 6 p.m.

The evening will feature music by Phat Man Dee, hors d’oeuvres, in addition to a bake sale, soup sale and flea market.

The $2.2 million project to totally resurface East Warrington Avenue from Haberman Avenue to Arlington Avenue, complete with new curbs and handicapped accessible crosswalks, is nearing completing. The two-year project, broken into segments, has been in Allentown for almost four months – restricting parking and traffic and hindering pedestrian traffic at times.

The public is welcome to join in the celebration at the senior center.
