Senior activities continue at the South Side Market House

September brings interesting activities at the South Side Senior Center at the Market House on 12th Street.

Some of the upcoming activities include a new Craft Club at the center where they will be making a Steeler wreath. A free sightseeing boat tour is planned, as well as attending a 50s Sock Hop at Riverview Park.

They are also getting ready for their annual Oktoberfest in the first week of October. In preparation, they are collecting items for a Rummage Sale. People should call before dropping off donations.

Regular activities at the center include exercise classes, shopping and restaurants trips. Seniors are always welcome to enjoy the state-of-the-art exercise room and computers with internet service. A hot lunch is served for a 50¢ donation and coffee is available all day for 25¢.

The South Side Senior Center is a great place for adults 60 years and over to meet people and have new experiences with no registration fee.

For information on these activities and more call 412-488-8404 Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-4 p.m.
