On Monday, contractors began the next phase of roadway rehabilitation on Warrington Avenue between Beltzhoover and Arlington avenues, shifting work from the inbound side of the street to the outbound side.
Auto traffic detours for this phase of work will remain the same. Traffic traveling toward Downtown Pittsburgh will use Warrington Avenue. Traffic traveling in the opposite direction will be detoured using Industry Street. Port Authority’s bus detours, however, will change with this phase of work. Details on bus detours are available at www.portauthority.org.
Additionally, roadway construction will impact the intersection of Warrington Avenue and Haberman Avenue around-the-clock from 6 a.m. Monday until the evening of Friday, Aug. 9. During this time, Warrington Avenue will be reduced to one lane at this intersection, with flaggers controlling traffic.
This phase of work is estimated to take approximately six weeks to complete. Following this phase, there will be some final rail repairs. The entire project is expected to end in mid-September.
