Carrick Library schedules programs for this summer

 


Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh- Carrick at 1811 Brownsville Road is planning a full schedule of summer family fun activities.

Library programs in July and August include:

Pre-K Programs: Storytime: Come in on Tuesdays at 10:30 a.m. for stories, rhymes, songs, and more fun activities. This early literacy program is designed for toddlers and preschoolers with their caregivers. Program dates include: July 2, 9, 16, 30 and August 6, 13, 20, 27.

School-Age Fun: Kids Club: Kids in grades K-5 can join the Kids Club this summer to explore seeds and soil, dinosaurs and mummies, rocks and fossils, fairies and gnomes, and much more. Kids Club will meet at 3:30 p.m. on Fridays in July and Thursdays.

Zoomobile @ the Library is for kids of all ages so they can come in and meet some wild and wonderful animals at the library. Visitors from the Pittsburgh Zoo & PPG Aquarium will present a special program at the library on Wednesday, July 3 at 3:30 p.m. Register for this program in advance by calling 412-882-3897.

Carnegie Museum of Natural History @ the Library is on Saturday, July 13 and Saturday, July 27 at 1 p.m. Visitors from the Carnegie Museum of Natural History will present fun, educational programs for kids in grades K-5. Register today by calling 412-882-3897 to reserve a spot.

Teen Thing is for teens in grades 6-12. They’re welcome to stop in to the library on Tuesdays at 4:30 p.m. for art projects, games, snacks and more.
