Santa Maria Magdalena celebrates events

 


The Society of Santa Maria Magdalena will be celebrating two important events, on Sunday, June 30 at 6 p.m. at Bethlehem Lutheran on Excelsior St. in Allentown: the confirmation of three men and the tonsuring of one young man as a cleric into the church along with the raising of Monsignor Victor Cianca to Episcopal Vicar.

J. Anthony Browne will begin seminary training for the Old Roman Catholic Church, under the watchful eye of Monsignor Cianca. Mr. Brown, from Eastern Pa, is a convert from the Pentecostal Church as a pastor. A reception will follow, all are invited.

The Old Roman Catholic Church, has also raised Monsignor Cianca, Society of Santa Maria Magdalena, to Episcopal Vicar for the Church in the U.S. The mandate was issue by Mar David 1st on June 4.

The installation will be on June 30 at 6 p.m ., all are invited. This permits Monsignor the right to wear a Pectoral Cross and Mitre when representing the church.
