Allentown, Beltzhoover residents asked to participate in developing housing strategy

The Hilltop Alliance’s Housing Plan Advisory Committee has selected Fourth Economy & Maynes Associates Architects, LLC as consultants for a comprehensive Five-Year Housing Strategy for Allentown and Beltzhoover.

The study will be looking at the priorities to renovate, redevelop and revitalize neighborhood residential properties. A community workshop and meeting for this project will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, July 11 at the Warrington Recreation Center, 329 E. Warrington Avenue.

There will also be separate break-out sessions for each of the two neighborhoods. Allentown and Beltzhoover residents are encouraged to attend and participate in the community workshop. They should come prepared to discuss existing conditions and provide input about their neighborhoods’ strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and challenges, to the project consultants.

This project was funded by the Pittsburgh Neighborhood Renaissance Fund with support from the Mayor’s Office, the Urban Redevelopment Authority, and the Department of City Planning. It is administered by the Design Center through its Design Fund Program.
