Man killed in Knoxville

 


On Friday, May 17 at 4:25 a.m ., Zone 3 Police officers, assisted by Mount Oliver officers, responded to the 108 Zara Street for a 911 report of man shot.

When officers and paramedics arrived they found 54-year-old Roger Griffin, unresponsive in the kitchen of the residence.

Mr. Griffin was transported to UPMC Mercy Hospital in critical condition with several gunshot wounds to the upper body. He was pronounced deceased by Emergency Room personnel at 5:02 a.m.

Rayshon Shields, 21, and Khamal Fooks, 18, were arrested Friday night and charged with the shooting of Mr. Griffin along with other charges.
