Pittsburgh’s Zoning Board of Adjustment has scheduled the following public hearings of interest to South Pittsburgh residents in the first floor hearing room of the John P. Robin Civic Building, 200 Ross Street, Downtown.

Zone case 100/13 on Thursday, May 16 at 9:00 a.m. is the appeal of Erin Buckley Ruggiero, owner and applicant, for 327 Hallock Street in the 19th Ward (Zoning District R1D-M).

Applicant requests 6’ high privacy fence for single family dwelling.

Variance Requests: 903.03.C.2, Minimum 30’ exterior side yard setback required and 0’ requested.

Zone case 104/13 on Thursday, May 16 at 9:20 a.m. is the appeal of MDM Development, owner and applicant, for 1223 Bingham Street in the 19th Ward (Zoning District NDI).

Applicant requests 20’x8’8” three-story addition and 20’x6.5’ deck at rear of existing structure; use of existing structure as multi-unit residential with four dwelling units.

Variance Requests: 914.02.A, Minimum four off-street parking spaces required and 0 requested; 904.03.C.3, Minimum 20’ rear setback required and 6.5’ requested; 912.04.B, For a deck: minimum 5’ rear setback required and 0’ requested.

Zone case 106/13 on Thursday, May 16 at 9:50 a.m. is the appeal of Michael Wright, applicant and (prospective owner) for 2818 Jane Street in the 16th Ward (Zoning District R2-VH).

Applicant requests new three-story single-family dwelling with two-car integral garage.

Variance Requests: 925.06.C, Minimum 3’ interior side setback required and 0’ requested.

Zone case 113/13 on Thursday, May 16 at 10:00 a.m. is the appeal of Redbeards LLC, applicant, and 201 Shiloh Street Associates, owner, for 201-203 Shiloh Street in the 19th Ward (Zoning District LNC).

Applicant requests one new 14.44 sq. ft. LED wall mounted sign for the restaurant.

Variance Requests: 919.03.O.3, Electronic signs are not permitted in LNC zoning district.

Notes: Certificate of Occupancy 66921, dated 3/28/1994, permitted occupancy “Continued use of existing structure as a bar/restaurant 1st floor; three dwelling units 2nd floor; and, two dwelling units on 3rd floor with a two-car attached garage used for storage and loading.”
