The Harmony Singers of Pittsburgh will present its 45th annual spring show on Saturday, May 18 at 8 p.m. and Sunday, May 19 at 2 p.m., at a new location, the Chartiers Valley Intermediate School, 2030 Swallow Hill Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15220.
This year’s show, “Born to be Somebody,” features songs that define the unstoppable human spirit found in everyone. Selections from the show include “Get on Your Feet,” “I’ve Gotta Be Me,” and “The Wind Beneath My Wings.”
While the Harmony Singers is primarily a choral group, their annual show features several choreographed numbers including a tap dance.
Cynthia G. Pratt is the choral director; Carol Karl is the accompanist.
Tickets sold in advance are $12 for adults, $10 for seniors and children under 12 and are available from cast members or by calling 724-941-5343. Discounted tickets, $10 for groups of 10 or more, may also be purchased in advance. All tickets are $15 at the door.
A free-will collection will take place after each performance for the benefit of Allegheny County Dept. of Human Services Holiday Project. The project provides holiday gifts for children in need.
