Transit tunnel closed on Sunday, April 7

 


The Mt. Washington Transit Tunnel will be closed to buses from about 5 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, April 7, due to rail work.

Light rail service will be single-tracking between the Panhandle Bridge and South Hills Junction during this time, and outbound riders at Station Square and South Hills Junction must board from inbound platforms.

The 40 Mt. Washington, 41 Bower Hill, 44 Knoxville, Y46 Elizabeth Flyer and Y49 Prospect Flyer bus routes will detour inbound via Warrington and Arlington avenues and outbound via the Wabash Tunnel and Warrington Avenue, with minor temporary stop changes for inbound service.
