Open House tonight for Overbrook School project

Valcott Enterprises is hosting an open house/community development meeting today, Tuesday, March 12, from 6-8 p.m., at the former Overbrook School property, 2140 Saw Mill Run Blvd, Pittsburgh, PA 15210.

Refreshments will be served.

Valcott Enterprises recently purchased the former Overbrook School Property from the Pittsburgh Public School District. They are partnering with the NRP Group to develop the property into a senior housing campus. Plans call for renovating the existing school building into a 91-bed personal care home.

NRP also plans to build a 50 unit independent living building on the baseball fields. The existing road will be extended through the property and a “kiss and ride” will be added along with dedicated public parking spaces. The footbridge to the Southbank T stop will be restored to allow the public, residents and employees access to the T and the busway.

This $25 million development project will result in the creation of at least 50 FTE jobs with benefits, from entry level to director level, as well as needed development along the Route 51 corridor.
