Make a clean sweep with a Lion’s Club broom

Hilltop Lions Club members are selling Spring Clean Up Brooms to support their programs in the community and beyond.

The quality brooms, manufactured by the blind, are available for $13 each or two for $25. The brooms are available from Lions Joe Setticase at Eye to Eye Optical 1225 Brownsville Road, Carrick, or 2350 Noblestown Road, Greentree; Richard Goodall at Teresa’s Shear Designs, 2014 Brownsville Road, Carrick; or, Keith Winter, Hernon Jewelers, 4135 Brownsville Road, Whitehall.

Proceeds from the sale will benefit Lions’ charities including: free vision and glaucoma screenings, sponsorships for kids to attend PA Lions Beacon Lodge Camp and Camp Variety; the Leader Dog programs; Pittsburgh Vision Services (formerly Guild for the Blind); and, the Keystone Blind Bowlers Tournament. Locally the Lions are able to help some people without insurance obtain free glasses and every Christmas they make fruit baskets for the Arlington Meals on Wheels.

The Hill Top Lions Club was chartered on October 2, 1985 by a small group of businessmen from the Hilltop community in District 14-B-Allegheny County under the International Association of Lions Clubs. For more information about the club and what they do, visit http://www.14Blions.com/hilltop/.
