Pennsylvania State University included several South Pittsburgh area students in the fall 2012 commencement exercises.

Commencement ceremonies were held the December 22, 2012. South Pittsburgh students receiving degrees included:

Steve D Bohner, University Park Campus, Bachelor of Science in Recreation, Park And Tourism Management; Jenny E. D›alessandro, University Park Campus, Bachelor of Science in Human Development And Family Studies; and, Juliann E. Kosovec, University Park Campus, Bachelor of Science in Biology.

Also, James S. Mancini, World Campus, Masters of Professional Studies in Homeland Security; Kyle S. Shearer, 15203 World Campus, Masters of Engineering in Nuclear Engineering; and, Anthony Yang, University Park Campus, Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology.
