Two men shot in Knoxville

Pittsburgh Police homicide detectives are conducting an investigation involving two young men who were shot in Knoxville on December 27 at approximately 2:48 p.m.

Zone 3 officers responded to 911 reports of shots being fired in the area of Rochelle Street and Ibis Way. Officers arrived and found the two men shot and lying on the ground near the intersection of Bausman and Amanda streets.

A 17 year old man was found with a single gunshot wound to the left hip area. The other victim, 18, was found with a gunshot wound in the chest and back. Both victims are Knoxville residents.

The men were taken to UPMC Mercyfor treatment.

The police did not have any information relating to suspects or a motive at press time.
