Leyland’s to lead campaign

Jim and Katie Leyland will serve as chairpersons on The Emmaus Community of Pittsburgh’s upcoming “A Lasting Legacy” capital campaign.

“Mr. Leyland managed the Pittsburgh Pirates from 1986 to 1996 and took our home team to the National League Championship Series for three straight seasons. In 2012, he managed the Detroit Tigers all the way to the World Series,” said Lorraine Wagner, executive director of the Emmaus Community Foundation and Founder of the Emmaus Community. “We’re very lucky to have the Leylands on our team and look forward to working with them to further the mission of Emmaus,”

The committee will be co-chaired by Butch Santicola, director of internal organizing for the Pennsylvania State Education Association, who will work with the Leylands to move the campaign forward in the coming year.

There are many ways to get involved with the campaign. Contact Lorraine Wagner at 412-381-0277 for more information.
