RHI recommendations coming on Wednesday

Jim Peters from the Responsible Hospitality Institute (RHI) will present recommendations from the Pittsburgh Sociable City Plan in Pittsburgh City Council Chamber on Wednesday, Dec. 12 at 1 p.m.

Utilizing a grant from the Mayor’s Office, the RHI was engaged to facilitate a discussion between stakeholders throughout the city to address problems arising in Pittsburgh’s “entertainment” districts. In all, 167 people including those from 17 government agencies, 45 businesses or business related organizations, 13 community groups and nine educational institutions participated in the discussion process.

Mr. Peters will present an Action Plan for managing the entertainment districts that will include recommendations on: Transportation, Public Safety, District Management; Personal Accountability; and, Hospitality Practices.

The presentation in City Council Chambers will be broadcast on the City of Pittsburgh cable channel.
