According to Kim Collins, SSCC president, the event will take place at Diesel Club Lounge, 1601 East Carson Street, from 6-10 p.m. The evening will feature “A Taste of South Side” with appetizers donated by local restaurants, drinks, music by JAZZ3 and DJ Ben Wood, and networking opportunities.
Dress is semi-formal and tickets are available online at http://chamberholidaymingle.eventbrite.com/# for $60 per person. Those attending are asked to bring a new unwrapped toy or non-perishable food item for Brashear Association’s Holiday Assistance Program.
Ms. Collins explained, the Welcome Center will provide a high-visibility presence for the chamber and reinforce the message that the South Side is a business-friendly neighborhood that welcomes professionals of all types. It will be staffed full time and stocked with guides, maps, unique South Side items for sale and other resources to ensure an excellent “South Side experience” for visitors, new residents and businesses.
In addition to hosting chamber events, the new facility will also be available to South Side community and development organizations for meetings.
“This will truly be the place where we all work together to realize South Side’s dynamic potential,” Ms. Collins said.
The Holiday Mingle is presented by UPMC Mercy. For sponsorships or donations, contact Ms. Collins at 412-445-2720 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
