Police seek assistance in identifying suspect in robbery of adult club patron

Pittsburgh police are asking for help in identifying a suspect who had robbed a patron leaving Controversy, an adult club on West Carson Street.

On September 15, Zone 3 Officers took a report from a man who stated he had been at the club the night before. The victim reported that around 4 a.m. a man he had been talking with throughout the night offered to give him a ride to a friend’s home in South Side.

The victim said while they were driving, the suspect pointed a gun to his head and said, “Give me all your money.” The victim complied, handing his wallet over to the suspect.

The suspect removed the cash and returned the wallet to the victim. He then had the victim get out of the car in an undisclosed place on East Carson Street.

The suspect was described as a black man, 21 to 28 years old and carrying a black pistol. The victim didn’t remember any other details about the suspect or his car.

Surveillance video showed the suspect to be a larger black man with a ponytail and wearing a sequenced shirt. Anyone who may be able to identify the suspect is asked to contact Detective Carl Morosetti at Zone 3, 412-488-8326. Callers can remain anonymous.
