Police looking for suspect in CoGo’s robbery

 

Police are asking any one who can identify this suspect in the robbery of the Mount Washington CoGo’s is asked to contact the Robbery Squad at 412-323-7151. A reward for information leading to the arrest is offered.

Zone 3 officers were called to the CoGo’s in the 300 block of Virginia Avenue on Mt. Washington at 7:45 p.m. for a report of an armed robbery.

Responding police were made aware the suspect, described as a white male wearing a black hoodie, green baseball type hat and white bandana on his face, had fled on foot from the store up Kearsarge St.

Officers spoke with a store employee who reported the suspect came into the store and pointed a gun at him saying, “open the register.” The clerk refused to comply and slapped the gun out of his face.

The suspect then jumped over the counter and demanded the employee open the register. The employee then chased the suspect back over the counter, out the door and up Kearsarge toward Grandview Avenue.

Although there were two patrons in the store at the time of the robbery, no one was injured during the incident.

The Pittsburgh Police Robbery Squad and Major Crime Unit responded to process and investigate the scene.

A reward has been offered for information leading to the arrest of the suspect. Anyone with information regarding the incident or can identify the suspect is asked to contact the Robbery Squad at 412-323-7151. Callers may remain anonymous.
