South Hills Genealogist begin meeting in So. Side

A new group of individuals interested in researching their family histories and sharing the resources they use to complete this research will begin to meet in South Side in November.

South Hills Genealogists (SHG) areas of focus are the communities south (through Peters and Union Townships) and west of the Monongahela River, and those that are cut through by or east of PA S.R. 19. They hope to share their communities’ resources, as well those of the City of Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, and Southwestern Pennsylvania.

Membership and participation in activities are not limited to just present and former South Hills residents, but anyone who wants to enrich their genealogical experience.

Meetings will begin on Tuesday, Nov. 13 and will continue on the second Tuesday of each month from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the Carnegie Library, South Side Branch, 2205 East Carson Street Pittsburgh, PA 15203.
