FOR hires Greg Quinlan as new executive director

Focus On Renewal’s (FOR) Board of Directors has announced the appointment of Greg Quinlan as the new executive director of its McKees Rocks-based non-profit organization.

Mr. Quinlan is best known in this area for his five years of successful service as the managing director of City Theater on South Side. He will be taking over the helm of the 43-year old social services agency effective October 29.

A graduate of Reed College, Mr. Quinlan brings years of executive experience in the nonprofit field. He most recently served as account executive with ThoughtForm, a communications consultancy and design firm in South Side.

He has also served as treasurer of the South Side Local Development Company, as board member of the South Side Chamber of Commerce and on the advisory team of the Greater Pittsburgh Nonprofit Partnership. He is also a graduate of Leadership Pittsburgh.

Mr. Quinlan resides on South Side with his wife Michelle Figler and their two children.

He will be succeeding The Rev. Regis Ryan, who is retiring after 35 years of service as executive director of Focus On Renewal. Under Father Ryan’s direction, the organization grew from a store-front poverty program into a comprehensive multi-service nonprofit organization.

Father Ryan will continue to serve as the executive director of the Sto-Rox Neighborhood Family Health Center, a sister organization of FOR.
