Come to the Carrick Branch of Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh for Protect & Prevent a free health information series presented by Beth Simon, DrPH, MSM, RN and Linda Roberts, DrPH, MSN, RN from the UPMC Cancer Center on Wednesday, Oct. 24 at 1 p.m..
The series of five informal presentations will provide information about clinical trials, decreasing the risk of getting cancer, and increasing sun safety. They will also look at environmental influences including household products and staying healthy after cancer treatment.
This week’s session is Understanding Cancer and Clinical Trails. Learn more about the basics of cancer and the importance of clinical trials in improving cancer treatment, screening, and prevention.
