Storytimes in Knoxville

October 16, 2012

Storytimes for families with babies, toddlers and preschoolers are scheduled weekly at the Knoxville Branch of the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh.

On Tuesday mornings at 11:30 a.m ., Baby & Me Storytime for children ages 0-18 months will be held. Baby and Me programs introduce young children to the library, to begin a lifetime of regular library visits and to help children develop into lifelong library users. Come in to come sing, clap, bounce and listen to nursery rhymes and stories.

Family Storytime

is on Thursday afternoons at 1:30 p.m. Children ages 2-5, with a parents or caregiver, will explore stories and activities to encourage children along a lifelong path of reading and learning. These 30-40 minute programs are designed to promote language and listening skills, expand their imaginations and self-image and arouse their curiosity about the world around them. A simple craft activity reinforces the stories each week.
