Meager Meal, Oktoberfest at Santa Maria Magdalena

Santa Maria Magdalena, 185 Knox Avenue, Knoxville, will be holding several events in the coming weeks.

The church will be serving its Meager Meal this Thursday at the church Social Hall from 4-7 p.m. Homemade chili and mashed potatoes will be served for $2.99 including dessert and beverage. Homemade Italian bread and rolls will also be available for sale.

Santa Maria Magdalena will celebrate the traditional Christ the King Feast with an opening Mass on Saturday, October 28 at 6 p.m. followed with Procession and Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament with an all Night Vigil closing with Mass on Sunday at 4 p.m.

The church will hold its first Oktoberfest on Sunday, Oct. 28 from 6:30 to 11 p.m. in their Social Hall at 185 Knox Avenue. The event will feature a German style dinner with old fashion polka band music for dancing. Cost is $10 per person or $75 for a table of eight. For tickets or to reserve a table call 412- 586-5621.
