The South Side Presbyterian Church is reminding people that Sunday, Oct. 7, is World Communion Sunday, the annual day when almost all Christian churches around the globe share the Lord's Supper.
"It is an act not only of faith, spiritual nurture, and community, but also of global unity and hope for a peaceful world," Pastor Kathy Hamilton-Vargo said.
All are welcome to participate in the Communion service on Sunday at 11 a.m. at the South Side Presbyterian Church, South 20th and Sarah streets, South Side. The church will also receive a special Peacemaking Offering on that day for efforts locally and globally to make peace in this world.
The building is handicap accessible and nursery care is available. For more information, call 412-431-0118.
