Fall Storytimes beginning at the Knoxville Library
Storytimes for families with babies, toddlers and preschoolers begin October 9 at the Knoxville Branch of the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh.
On Tuesday mornings at 11:30 a.m ., Baby & Me Storytime for children ages 0-18 months will be held. Baby and Me programs are a great way to introduce young children to the library, to begin a lifetime of regular library visits and to help children develop into lifelong library users. At Baby & Me Storytime, they sing, clap, bounce and listen to nursery rhymes and stories.
Share the fun of reading with children ages 2-5 years on Thursday afternoons at 1:30 p.m. during Family Storytime. Children, and their parents or caregivers, will explore stories and activities to encourage children along a lifelong path of reading and learning.
These 30-40 minute programs are designed to promote language and listening skills, expand their imaginations and self-image and arouse their curiosity about the world around them. A simple craft activity reinforces the stories each week.
