Knoxville man shot on porch

Officers from zone three police station were called to the 100 block of Jucunda Street for a report of a man shot just after 9 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 20.

On arrival the police found Randy Lewicki, 49, with a gunshot wound to his side. Paramedics rushed the victim to Mercy Hospital where he died from the gunshot wound that night.

Mr. Lewicki was shot as he sat on the front steps of his mother's house drinking a can of beer. Witnesses report hearing one gunshot and then seeing two black males fleeing from the scene.

One suspect was described as 18 to 20 years old with a thin build and approximately six feet tall, wearing a white T-shirt.

No arrests have been made and a motive for the shooting is unknown at this time
