Carrick man arrested in Brookline

On September 18, Zone 6 police responded to the 1400 block of Woodbourne Ave. in Brookline for a burglary in progress.

Officers arrived on the scene and quickly located a rear door that was forced open. A K-9 officer entered the residence and where he found two men and placed them under arrest. Officers recovered tools and copper piping that was cut from the structure. 

George Joesph Assenat of Carrick and Robert Matthew Vespa of Brentwood were arrested and charged with burglary, possessing instruments of crime, criminal trespass and resisting arrest. 

Mr. Assenat was also arrested on June 30, 2011, for burglarizing a home in the 600 block of Woodbourne Ave.
